Walking in my new Brook Sports Green Silence shoes felt as light as a cloud!
A delight!
Lightweight and made from 75% recycled material, with fun styling and color...
Not only do my new Brook running shoes look fashionable, they're the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever worn.
I know Brooks Sports made the Green Silence running shoe but to save my knees, I walk.
I hike.
I kayak.
I dance.
Therefore, in celebration on Earth Day April 22nd, 2011, I encourage you to prioritize products made from recycled materials, too.
(I'll be introducing more innovative recycled products in the coming week.)
For now, if you like cool looking comfortable light shoes, the Brooks Sports Green Silence is truly one of the best walking (really running) shoes I've ever worn.
And now a word from Brooks...
Green Silence is made of 75% post-consumer recycled materials—polyester leisure suits, broken down sofas, discarded CDs and other earth-friendly components.
Brooks constructed the shoe with ½ as many parts as traditional running shoes, requiring less energy and resources to make.
In this case the green choice was more comfortable than my previous petroleum-based rubber alternative. Most rubber is made from petroleum and para rubber trees. Buying a recycled shoe is therefore patriotic and environmentally-friendly.
Brook's Green Silence felt super light, was a perfect fit and true to size.
And easy on my eco-consciousness.
Brooks Sports is the only brand offering footwear, apparel, and accessories designed exclusively for the runner and prioritizing sustainability innovations from their footwear to packaging.
