Quick! I-131! Plutonium! Radioactive Cloud!
Japan's nuclear disaster has been elevated to a 7 on par with Chernobyl, and the average U.S. citizen living downwind from Japan in western states like California is naturally concerned with what's in our air, water, and milk.
There may not be anything we can do about Japan's nuclear disaster impacts but we can learn small and big ideas to make a difference here now.
Consider two, count them TWO, informative green conferences starting this weekend.
Alternative energy suggestions! Creative reuse of natural resources! Energy efficient buildings! Organically "grown" clothes!
Let's lessen our so-called nuclear energy "needs" and learn about alternatives together.
Mark your calendar to attend this weekend's Go Green Expo April 15th - 17th, 2011 at Los Angeles Convention Center, and the AltBuild Expo (Alternative Building Materials and Design) May 6th and 7th at the Santa Monica Civic Center.
Go Green Expo is $15 general admission; $10 for children, seniors, and military. AltBuild Expo is FREE admission to all.
