Rolly-polly.
Me?
I confidently carried a vision of myself as thin the way others carried lipstick.
But as I hiked up a Santa Monica mountaintop, I asked my hiking buddy, "What one word describes me?"
I didn't hold my breath knowing the answer would be within the realm of...
"Rolly-polly."
My dismay.
Disappointment!
The reality-check I didn't ask for.
The following week mom descended into LAX and upon seeing me, said,
"You look chubby."
Thin me.
The dry cleaner shrunk my clothes.
That was it. I had to. I had to do something.
Something.
Before I got beyond something, mom blasted, "Join Weight Watchers."
This week, four months practically to the day after I joined Weight Watchers, I descended from my 134.4 mountaintop, and reached my goal of 120 pounds.
It feels great, which is why I'm sharing the news with you.
This week I started Weight Watchers' 6 week maintenance plan to ensure I keep the eating plan (and my better weight) for life. It's all about portion control. This along with my weight-lifting routine proved to be a winning combination.
No more the dry-cleaner did it.
I recommend Weight Watchers to anyone who has a thin vision of themself and is ready to match their vision with reality.
We all can use support from time to time. By the way, I maintained a vegetarian (almost vegan diet) too. Anyone can create better eating habits. Portion control. Support. It's all available.
Above photo is my attempt to blend young thin me, with last year's model of chubby me, and today's improved Weight Watchers rendition with photo collage techniques learned in Scott Kelby's The Photoshop CSbook. I love Photoshop. Need more practice. Sure. Give me four months. I can transform anything. Did I just say that? Sounds promising.
