When was the last time you were downtown, observing this relaxing scene from your window?
I'm observing this sight now ...photo taken moments ago from the balcony of my room at The Outlook Inn.
I woke late thanks to writing and going through photos til 2 a.m. After a relaxing bath, I headed out the door to explore downtown Orcas Island and find food.
Here's a taste of colorful Orcas Island's Eastsound town; the main town on Orcas.
Speaking of taste, I found Erb's 100% organic vegetarian restaurant and enjoyed veggie scramble with tofu, which I recommend.
Wild flowers and unique gift shops abound on Orcas Island, which prides itself on being one of kind.
Being the writer that I am, I appreciated seeing their one-of-a-kind independent bookstore, Darvill's.
Well, it's time for me to hit the road now. The sun is shining and I met a local who said he'd explore Moran State Park, the lakes and waterfalls, and return to Constitution Point with me at sunset.
This time, hopefully, I'll make it. Fingers crossed.
Seat belt-on, and I'm off.
