Welcome to Tofino known for storm-watching in winter months and surfing in the summer.
A quaint village on the edge of beauty.
On the first day of Spring, once again I brought the sun.
Note weather conditions change faster than a speeding Porsche, and there are no Porsches.
There is weather: Wind. Water. Rain.
What's needed for protection more times than not are yellow rain slickers. Rain slickers and lucky guests can be found in Tofino resorts like the one in which I'm staying the Pacific Sands Beach Resort.
Storm and wave watching is big around here. I've experienced the high of watching waves crash against the shore in Carmel, California and look forward to experiencing that high here.
It was 4 1/2 hour drive from Victoria, with all sorts of weather conditions--mostly mild except for a few snow and rain flurries.
Upon arrival, the sun.
More to report after I get into the forest and explore tides along nearby Long Beach. I wonder if I should bring one of these? To watch my Chasing Clean Air: Climate Change YouTube video that features a few special Tofino areas, click here.
