Democratic headquarters in Santa Monica was ground zero for the presidential debates last night. For me, anyway.
Obama won.
I thought Obama was great on just about every issue, and most importantly with his ability to reason and think things through while being warm and engaging.
Clean energy.
Nuclear and coal are not clean, and I hope he gets better informed advisors on this subject by the time he's in office and ready to build a green team to make us energy independent.
He has to emphasis plug-in electric cars, too. Neither candidate talked about plug-ins, and we must make them part of our national conversation.
I'd recommend S. David Freeman, former energy advisor to Nixon and Carter, and leader of America's largest power companies to advise. I highly doubt Obama will read my post but somehow maybe clean renewable non-toxic ideas will float his way.
If we're going to build a huge new infrastructure to support our electric needs, I'd suggest just perfecting the production and transmission of the least problematic renewable solutions like solar and wind.
