The American Lung Association does great work. I subscribe to their weekly breather newsletter and so can you. This week, highlights include: increased cancer cases in China due to environmental pollution--lung cancer is way up. In our country, lung disease is way up too. Frankly, it scares me. Lung cancer is a horrible way to die. I've known people to suffer this one, and it's painful. We really must all do whatever we can to lessen the carbon load in our atmosphere. Report cars and trucks polluting. Truck and school bus companies invest in clean fuel. I cringe every time I pass a black-poof of chemicals spewing from buses and trucks. Why must I breathe that crap? And I wish more of us would drive less, turn off the lights more, invest in alternative energy sources, and work more from home. Structure your lives so you don't have to drive a lot. It's something. And if you didn't quit cigarettes yet, quit. It's easier than you think. Rally against dirty coal production, China is doing too much of it. Educate. Educate.
