Got lucky... once a year the Balloon Fiesta occurs for one week in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The big launch of 500 balloons--Mass Ascension--will occur at 7:15 a.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park tomorrow. The lead balloon with fly the American flag and play Star Spangled Banner. Will I hear it? I'll be there! At 8-9:30 a.m. the U.S. Air Force Band will play jazz ala Glenn Miller from 1940s.
Then off to Santa Fe and Taos.
Looking forward to explore new terrain and experience a sky full of balloons--that I understand is one of the most photographed events in the world. Oh my! The crowds!
