Head out to the LA Art Show today at the Los Angeles Convention Center if you can.
I was blown away by the diverse talent ranging from digital photographs to mixed media to street artists.
With over 130 international exhibitors, this is the West Coast's largest art fair.
The energy of talented artists lifted my spirits and widened my eyes, enlarging my perspective on art and life.
I had three favorites.
1) Los Angeles Street artists elevated "graffiti" to an art form blending city vibes, with heart, paint, and pain. Now these young artists are on a world tour to share their community-based art form around the world--next stop Malaga, Spain. The port town of Spain commissioned this young group to beautify their city and show them how it's done. There were no shortage of fans at the LA Art Show watching the artists brush their stuff. (See above photo)
2) Who knew? The Koreans were well-represented at the show and I learned a lot about their vibrant culture as I enjoyed colorful art inlaid with jewels. Here's a few artists that stood out to me.
3) No surprise the gallery from Barcelona hit every vibrant note with each of its artists. Playful, ingenious, and ahhh inspiring... when you go check out their booth.
I will update this post with specific names later, after I get my notepad from the car but I've got plans and might not get to it until the show has ended but I didn't want that to stop you from heading out to LA Art Show today.
Los Angeles has blue clean skies after our rain. So check that out too... Until later, enjoy.
