No.
Drive clean, instead.
Here let's give YOU an incentive.
If you're a Californian get a rebate courtesy of The California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) and CARB.
Actually, they emailed a press release about their generous rebates if I only buy green. Car, that is. Okay, let's read about your rebate.
So I read, and read, and where's the beef?
Oh, man. I'm always the last one admitted to the party, and then no tickets are left to win the prize. In this case, a rebate for fuel efficient cars.
All gone.
I still drive my Lexus. It's paid for. The Lexus hybrid is too expensive. And the others? It's hard to compete with paid for. So make it affordable or sponsor me, and we'll see.
So I have what feels like a dishonest press release from CCSE, saying they've got up to $5000 in incentives for Californians, who purchase electric, compressed natural gas and other qualifying cars and motorcycles.
Ha ha! Not for you.
These not for me grants are courtesy of my favorite government agency CARB. Just kidding. They won't be my favorite until they clean California's air.
Who killed the electric car?
And no kidding, towards the end of the press release, it says, there's no incentive money left, unless you drive a Vectrix zero emission motorcycle, ($1500 rebate) or a GEM neighborhood electric vehicle ($950 and $1,300 for only certain models).
I drive neither slow or teeny weeny vehicle.
Nor will I.
How far can you get in my neighborhood, which is the 405 freeway, in a Vectrix zero emission motorcycle?
Crash! Bang!
The GEM neighborhood electric vehicle?
We're in a 90 mile per hour SUV freeway world where battle of the strongest wins, as stressed-out workers after a long day with an egomaniacal boss, just eye you, wait for you to even try and change lanes.
Be the target of my day.
And if you're unlucky, this is L.A. You get shot.
Thanks ARB for the offer but I live in Los Angeles, and can't afford to drive a teeny weeny vehicle.
Crash! Bang!
If you reader are different than I, and want to purchase a slow neighborhood vehicle or a motorcycle click here for more information on rebates courtesy of the Energy Center.
